Konaklı

Located at 115 km distance from Antalya Airport, and at 15 km distance from Alanya City Center, Konaklı is a tourist resort in high demand from both domestic and foreign tourists.

Thought to have been founded in the 1100s, Konaklı is called with 2 more names as Şarapsa and Telatiye in the past. There are settlement ruins belonging to the Roman Period in the region.

It is known that Alaeddin Keykubat, the Sultan of Seljuks, opened a way over the coast to connect the region to Konya, the capital of the Seljuk State. It was called as Şarapsa until the end of the The Grand Vizier Talat Pasha’s period. Later on, it took the name Telatiye with the elder brother of Talat Ağa. And according to the latest regulations, it was renamed as Konaklı and became the Municipality in1992.

Konaklı is an important holiday resort that is connected to Alanya district and whose tourism potential is raising constantly like itself. Having blue flag beaches and a green natural habitat, the region has become a significantly shining holiday resort of the Mediterranean in recent years.
